Circumstances of the case
The client was an active participant in the nationwide strike in Belarus, which was announced by the Belarusian opposition after the 2020 presidential elections in Belarus. The client was forced to leave Belarus because of persecution by the authorities for his political opinion.
After the client turned to us, our lawyers prepared an application for international protection, which was accompanied by the client’s evidence and the detailed compilation of information about the human rights situation in Belarus. We also provided legal advice to the client on the procedure under the EU “Dublin III” Regulation, which helped him stay in France and apply for asylum there.
