K.K. v. Switzerland
The complainant in the case is a minor national of Georgia (“K.K.”). The case concerns her deportation from Switzerland to Georgia.
Circumstances of the case
The complainant and her parents suffer from a number of serious mental disorders. All the family members have either attempted suicide or are at risk of suicide.
Complaint to the Committee on the Rights of the Child
In the complaint to the Committee we argued that the deportation of K.K. to Georgia would violate a number of provisions of the Convention on the Rights of the Child, as in Georgia she would not be guaranteed access to the necessary psychological treatment and conditions for her full development would not be created.
