States are obliged not to expel a person if he/she is at risk of serious threat to life and health because of a lack of appropriate treatment in his/her home country under international law. In cases where a person has a serious health condition, expulsion without individual guarantees of receiving the necessary treatment violates his/her rights. Our lawyers apply for interim measures before international bodies to prevent expulsion of clients with serious illnesses to States where they will be unable to receive appropriate medical treatment.
